Hallands Auktionsverk AB was formerly part of the Crafoord group and was then called Crafoord Auctions in Halmstad. Since October 2001, the business has been run by Martin Laurell, who started up the business in Halmstad as manager of Crafoord Auctions in 1999.

Martin Laurell has, in addition to a BA in Art History at Lund University, studied economics and history and also has a long and solid auction experience. Since the mid-1980s he has been, among other things, manager of Bukowskis in southern Sweden, operations manager at Ellekilde Auktionshus in Copenhagen and manager of Crafoord Auctions, both in Sweden and in Denmark.

He also has a personal appointment as valuer for the Swedish Chambers of Commerce.
