Buying and selling
Many people think that buying at auction is difficult but in fact it’s the opposite! It's easy, fun, usually cheap and by buying second-hand objects you are making a positive contribution for the environment!
Online auctions
You can easily register as a customer via our website. Once we have approved you, you are then free to click around the items and place bids. Keep in mind that the bids you place are binding and that there is a 25% buyer's commission and a SEK 50 fee per item (sometimes there is also an additional 5% artist's fee, but you can read more about that in the complete terms and conditions). Also keep in mind that these are NOT internet auctions but traditional auctions and that there is therefore no automatic right of return on the items you bid on.
Shortly before the auction starts in person, it is no longer possible to place written bids but instead you can bid "live" via your computer, phone or tablet. However, as there are people bidding in the hall, they may bid the same amount as you do from home and the auctioneer will decide who bid first.
Auctions in person
Our premises are open to everyone both during the viewing and the auction. However, due to the current Covid-19 situation, the number of visitors allowed on the premises at the same time might be limited. We also ask all customers to keep a safe distance from each other and from the staff and to use the hand sanitizers provided.
If you are interested in bidding and you are a new customer, please identify yourself at the front desk and receive a customer number, a so-called "spade". With this in your hand you can then bid during the auction and your purchase will be registered on the number. Then you just pay at the desk when you leave and take your items straight away.
If you don't want to pay directly, or carry the items with you, you have one week to pay and collect. If you don't want to stay for the auction itself, you can leave written bids with the staff at the cash desk. We will then bid as favourably as possible on your behalf.
It is also possible to arrange a telephone bid, i.e. we will call you just before the item is to be sold. However, telephone bidding is a service intended for items with slightly higher value. This means that you have to be prepared to pay at least SEK 2,000, excluding commission, to be called, and we will even bid up to that level if for some we cannot get through. If you don't want to bid that high, it's better to make a written offer. Please note that it is not possible to register telephone bids after 15.00.
